After a successful COVID shortened 2020 college football season for the Broncos, the Western Michigan University coaches turned their attention to the 2021 recruiting class, receiving 19 signed National Letters of Intent on December 16. Below is a recap of the 2021 Bronco signees. (There are no early enrollees as of now, with some still planning to play their high school senior season in the spring.)
“Athletic tight end who is a receiving threat with natural catching ability and is a tough blocker. Kadinn comes to us from a high school that has a reputation of being tough, and he has a great work ethic. Kadinn is a multi-sport athlete who has been a leader for his teams, especially during these uncertain times and is a great addition to the TE room.” -Tim Lester
“An electric playmaker with great hands! A member of the Elkhart football team that won the NIC championship, with a record of 9-1. As a senior, he had 393 rushing yards and 5 rush TDs PLUS 36 catches for 678 yards and six TDs. We’re excited to add his duel threat ability to the WR room.” -Tim Lester
“Big, athletic, physical offensive tackle. Plays with great strength and will impose his will on his opponents. Has the feet and change-of-direction to dance on the edge in pass protection. His size and length are strong assets for the tackle position. Excellent work ethic!”

He is a Gold Glove boxer, with a supportive family that pushed him. I am excited to have Zahir join our program, and looking forward to what he will bring to the running back room.” -Tim Lester
“He has a big body that can play all four positions on the defensive line. Comes from a great family, has incredible enthusiasm for the game, and captain for his high school team.” -Tim Lester
“Very long, lengthy, fast wideout out of Mount Carmel high school in Chicago. He was a state champion and is joining the Broncos without a high school loss. Looking forward to adding his length to the WR room.” -Tim Lester
“Long and fluid corner with blazing track speed. Excellent student in the classroom that values academics and he comes from a great family.” -Tim Lester
“Long, athletic, physical offensive lineman. Plays with great energy, and finishes in run and pass situation. Light feet for his size and length – great change- of-direction. Has good feet on contact, finishes very well. Unique skill set for success as a run blocker and pass protector. Excellent student and leader!” -Tim Lester

“Exciting dual threat quarterback at 6-4 205lbs. He’s a proven winner and has shown he can win games with his feet and his arm. He led River Rouge to the 2019 State Championship and rushed for 175 Yards and 3 TDs in the State Championship win over Muskegon. He’s got high character and great leadership, with a lot of praise coming from area coaches on these intangibles.” -Tim Lester

“Great long athlete, that moves well in space and is explosive. He’s familiar to the University, as his brother is on the soccer team. He was a captain for his team and we look forward to him bringing that leadership here.” -Tim Lester
