The recruiting cycle never stops. Broncos tight ends and offensive line coach Bill Kenny was in Washington, D.C. yesterday to meet up with current commit Eric Assoua. But the three-star defensive end wasn't his only player on his schedule. Assoua's teammate, two-star cornerback Will Jackson committed to Western Michigan late last night.

Jackson is listed as a wide receiver but is expected to make the shift to the defensive backfield when he lands in Kalamazoo. Standing 6-foot-3 and checking in close to 190-pounds, Jackson brings great size to the secondary.
His size on the defensive side of the football will be a big plus. He's big enough to avoid blocks from opposing wide receivers and due to his speed -- he's also ran track for the St. John's High Cadets -- allows him to stay step for step with receivers.
The film on him is limited, but his defensive highlights do show some promise. Tall, lanky, speedy, a great combination for the defensive backfield.
Perhaps the best part of that highlight film is the ability to wrap up opposing players while tackling, which is displayed towards the latter half of the tape. That is a key attribute for defensive backs at WMU given the system that asks some guys in the secondary to blitz or play the run, a la a Justin Currie or Trevor Ishmael.
Jackson is commit No. 29 for head coach P.J. Fleck and co. Before Jackson's commitment, WMU sits No. 62 in the nation in recruiting, tops in the Mid American Conference by almost ten spots. The 29 recruits should put the Broncos in a tie for second-most in the nation with Texas-San Antonio.
Besides the Broncos, Jackson held offers from Kentucky, North Carolina State, Connecticut, Old Dominion and Toledo. Maryland also showed interest in the athletic Jackson.
