Spillane is the first 2014 commit

Western Michigan has its first commitment for the class of 2014, as Oak Park (Ill.) Fenwick running back Robert Spillane has given his pledge to P.J. Fleck and the Broncos.
Spillane is another prospect from within the six-hour radius that the new coaching staff has promised to recruit harder. It didn't take long for the 6-foot-2, 215 pound bruiser to make up his mind, as his commitment came very quickly after receiving his offer.

Assuming he follows through and signs his eventual letter of intent with WMU, Spillane will join a roster that includes 14 Land of Lincoln natives, including four signees from the class of 2013.
With Western Michigan having just hosted numerous prospects for their Saturday Junior Day, this is likely just the beginning of plenty of recruiting news to come. BroncoBlitz will continue to gather information on Spillane and keep you updated on everything WMU recruiting.
