Hiller named MAC scholar athelete again

When you talk to Tim Hiller you know you're talking to a very bright young man. His coach and roommate will echo that. As Tim's roommate told me, "He's got his nose in the playbook 24/7." Well apparently, he's got his nose in his text books as well as his 4.0 GPA indicates.
Hiller was named the MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week for the second week in a row on Sept. 18. Hiller becomes the first student-athlete to repeat as an award winner after racking up the most nods in the conference (3) a year ago.

Hiller (quarterback, Jr., 4.0, sales and business management, Orrville, Ohio)completed 74.2 percent of his passes (23-for-31), matching the highest completion percentage of his career. He passed for four touchdowns, without an interception, for the third time in his career. Hiller tied Brad Tayles for second most passing TDs in WMU history. He has a 9-to-1 TD to interception ratio through three games in 2008. He is completing 67.3 percent of his passes so far this season.
The MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week honor is presented to a MAC male and female student-athlete who has a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and performs well during that week's competition. The winners are selected by a group of the conference's faculty athletic representatives.
