Staff Predictions
Brian Persky: Honestly, it was the Bowling Green game tomorrow night that I had pegged as a potential road block for this Western Michigan team. I didn't expect it to happen on Saturday against Ball State.
That being said, the Broncos had some extremely focused and intense practices this week. I will be very interested to see how these guys respond on Wednesday. From what I've seen in practice, expect the Broncos to run with the Falcons and get a lot of transition buckets from the point guard position to Shayne Whittington and Darius Paul on the interior. I like the Broncos to bounce back.
Score Prediction: Western Michigan 66, Bowling Green 59
David James: The loss to Ball State certainly is a setback for a WMU team trying to establish themselves at the top of the Mid-American Conference, but the encouraging thing is that last time the Broncos lost, they followed it up by rattling off seven straight wins.
Bowling Green is a hard team to predict, as they look great at times and awful at others. WMU comes out with a chip on their shoulders and they pull out the win.
Score Prediction: Western Michigan 74, Bowling Green 61
Brandon Fitzsimons: I think the trip-up in Muncie will help keep the Broncos focused as they look to finish up their MAC East schedule. If the Broncos can contain Jordon Crawford, they should stroll easily in the Stroh Center.
Score Prediction: Western Michigan 74, Bowling Green 60
D.J. Duckett: I think the Broncos will bounce back from their loss to Ball State this past weekend. Their shooters really struggled and i expect Brandon Pokley and David Brown will certainly get it together. I see WMU winning this one going away, but if they come out flat against the Falcons, watch out.
Score Prediction: Western Michigan 70, Bowling Green 62
