Chance Stewart commits to WMU

Huge news came through for Western Michigan on the recruiting trail today as four star Sturgis quarterback Chance Stewart has committed to play for the Broncos.
This is the highest-rated commitment the Broncos have received in the Rivals.com era, as no previous WMU commit has been ranked in the Rivals250 rankings, where Stewart comes in at no. 215 nationally.

It was believed that Stewart was waiting until mid-May to make a decision, but he visited practice for the fifth time this morning and made his final decision shortly after. The decision came down to WMU and Illinois, where former Bronco head coach Bill Cubit was leading Stewart's recruitment.
Stewart had previously pledged to Wisconsin, before changing his mind following former head coach Bret Bielema's departure to Arkansas.
This is the fifth commitment in the class of 2014, and the first to be ranked by Rivals.com. Stewart is the fourth commit from the state of Michigan, joining Jordan Van Dort, Chukwuma Okorafor and Lucas Bezerra.
