BroncoBlitz: Why WMU?

Piper: "I really just loved the coaching staff and the family feeling throughout the campus. My parents really loved everything about it as well so I knew it was the right choice."

BroncoBlitz: What other schools were recruiting you?

Piper: "The whole MAC, Michigan State and Cincinnati but it doesn't really matter now that I'm committed. "

BroncoBlitz: What position does WMU want you to play?

Piper: "Corner back but I have all intentions on working with both sides as a receiver too."

BroncoBlitz: Anyone else you're trying to recruit?

Piper: "Yes sir. CJ Brown, Dustin Fletcher, CJ Harris."

BroncoBlitz: Any of them strongly considering WMU?

Piper: "Yea, all of them."

BroncoBlitz: Why WMU?

Moore: "Not to be rude but the answer is why not WMU? They have everything you need. A great staff, great facilities and amazing connections after football. I remember being told by Coach Lester that Kalamazoo has six, 6- billion dollar companies right there in the city. Also it has a great dermatology program. That’s what I’ll be majoring in."

BroncoBlitz: What other schools were recruiting you?

Moore: "Cincinnati, Tennessee, Duke, Troy, Temple and a bunch of other schools including CMU. A big list but WMU felt like home."

BroncoBlitz: What did DaShon Bussell tell you about the football program? Did he play a part in your recruitment?

Moore: "He played a huge role. He’s like family, so knowing I have old family and new family on the staff and team was a huge help. He’s a role model and is going to play a huge role in this years team."

BroncoBlitz: You’re more about the fit and academics than the name of the school?

Moore: "Yes sir."

BroncoBlitz: What position is WMU looking at you playing?

Moore: "Defensive end."

BroncoBlitz: What type of player would you describe yourself as?

Moore: "A head hunter. I'm trying to take off everyone’s head when I’m on the field."

BroncoBlitz: Why WMU?

Wilson: "Thank you! And it just felt right the moment we were on their campus for the first time. The coaches were more than welcoming and were very confident in me being a good player for them and I could tell they would push me to my best ability on the field and in the classroom."

BroncoBlitz: Who else was recruiting you?

Wilson: "Mostly the MAC schools and some Big 10 schools like Michigan State and Minnesota."

BroncoBlitz: Are you trying to recruit any others to WMU?

Wilson: "Yes. I have a friend at my school with an offer, Mitchell Bartol. He’s a tight end and actually visited last week. He loved it so I think he’s pretty close. Another one is an offensive llineman from Verona (Gunnar Kilen). He’s a really good dude and I’d love to have him in brown and gold with me."

BroncoBlitz: Would any offers influence your decision?

Wilson: "Not really, no. I’m happy with Western."

BroncoBlitz: What position do they want you to play?

Wilson: "I don’t know if they even have that decided yet. I started at end (in high school) but played a lot of tackle last year as well. If they want me to maintain weight and get faster to keep playing end, I’d be okay with it or if they want me to bulk up 30 pounds and play tackle, I also wouldn’t be opposed."

BroncoBlitz: How do you see this class shaping up?

Wilson: "I’m hoping to get my friend Mitch on board and I know the other guys are talking to the QB recruits. We have a really great potential class coming up it’d be awesome to have all the top targets sign."
