Weston Peiffer pulls the trigger

If you're going to go fishing, where better to go than the land of 10,000 lakes. The Broncos went fishing for a defensive end this summer, and found one in the suburbs of Minneapolis.
Weston Peiffer gave his verbal to the Broncos on Saturday. According to Peiffer, the Broncos offered him this summer, and he has known ever since that WMU was where he wanted to be.

"I got a lot of attention from Colorado, Minnesota, and NDSU, but Western felt right for me all along, so I decided to commit."
We asked him what the deciding factor was.
"I just really liked the staff. I camped their this summmer, toured the campus, and met all the coaches. Coach Moreland came to my school, and I liked what he had to say. I really liked my position coach too (Coach McCarty).
Peiffer is fully qualified, and would like to major in Business.
He currently plays both defensive end and offensive tackle on his high school team.
"We've struggled the last few years. We're a bit on the small side, and we play some big schools. I'm the biggest guy on the team."
Peiffer definitely fills a need for the Broncos, who haven't had a dominate defensive end since Jason Babin. At 6'4" 235, Peiffer could see the field as a true freshmen. He is the fifth recruit to commit for the 2008 recruiting class.
