Signing Day wraps up at 17 players

Western Michigan's National Signing Day has wrapped up with 17 new signees for P.J. Fleck and the football program, WMU Athletics has confirmed.
The last two days were a roller coaster ride for the Broncos, picking up a couple of surprise recruits as well as losing a few possible signees to other schools.
Tuesday evening, one-time Chicago (Simeon) commit Kendall Moore announced for Syracuse and signed with the Orange today. At the same event, teammate Devante Lee chose Middle Tennessee State over WMU.
Today, fans were hoping WMU could secure high three-star running back prospect Daryl Chestnut, who signed moments ago with Indiana.
WMU did sign a couple of surprises in Kristof Ifkovits of River Grove, Ill., and Mario Rodriguez of Aptos, Calif. Cabrillo Junior College.
In all, WMU signed five players each from Michigan and Illinois, four from Florida, two from Indiana, and one from California.
