NJ RB commits to WMU after weekend visit

Monday evening Western Michigan plugged their running back hole in their 2015 recruiting class with three-star running back Davon Tucker. The Somerdale (New Jersey) Sterling star, who has a Rivals Rating of 5.5, visited Kalamazoo over the weekend and committed Monday evening.
When you see him play Tucker has a thick upper body, giving him the appearance of a bruising tailback. However, Tucker, who stands just about 6-foot and around 200 pounds, shows good elusiveness but maintains a very north-south running style. The run at 2:45 of his highlight package shows a tough runner who consistently churns his feet to run through defenders. He drags a defensive back around five yards before finally getting hauled down.

Davon Tucker also possesses the speed to gain the edge and turn up field to win footraces. He is also on his high school track team where his personal best is a 10.8 seconds in the 100 meter dash.
In addition to Western Michigan, Tucker held offers from Syracuse, Boston College and Ball State. Indiana, Rutgers, Virginia, Pittsburgh and Connecticut also showed interest in Tucker's talents.
This commitment is officially the 17th for the 2015 WMU recruiting class. Currently, the Broncos' 2015 class is ranked No. 46, but the commitment of Tucker could push the Broncos into the 43-45 range. They still have the best recruiting class in the MAC as the second-highest rated class in the conference belongs to Central Michigan. The Chippewas' 2015 class currently sits in the No. 65 nationally.
