At the beginning of the season the word was out on Jamie Simpson, so Broncoblitz checked out Dowagiac and Simpson. Surprisingly, Dowagiac lost 70-20 to South Haven, and Simpson did not play due to an ankle injury. Still, could one player really make that big of a difference?

Three months later Simpson and Dowagiac met South Haven in the playsoffs. Final score, Dowagiac 54 South Haven 20. Clearly one player made a huge difference. In that game Simpson only played a one half, carried 5 times, and compiled 80 yards rushing.
Jamie Simpson is a 6 foot 224 pound bruiser out of Dowagiac, Michigan. He currently holds multiple MAC offers that include, CMU, WMU, BG, and Miami. To date Simpson only has one official visit set, that being Miami on the 7th of December.
He has taken one unofficial visit to WMU, when the Broncos played Ball State. "I'm not sure yet when I'll take an official visit to Western," stated Simpson, "but they are on me very hard. Currently Miami, Bowling Green, and Western Michigan are calling me the most. Coach Tabor is the Bronco coach who is recruiting me."
Simpson is also hearing from MSU, EMU, Cincinnati, Wisconsin, and Duke, but none have come forth with an offer. He is also be pursued for baseball, and according to him, he will play both sports wherever he goes.
Simpson is a three year started at Dowagiac. He ran for nearly 1,300 yards as a junior, but according to him, few of those were full games. "If the game was out of hand my coach would sit me," stated Jamie. "Had I played full games I think my numbers would have been much greater."
Simpson benched 305 at the Purdue Nike Combine and also ran a 4.52 40. He is a full qualifier as well.
Simpson believes he can get on the field early. "I feel I can contribute right away. I'm a good pass blocker, and I can catch the ball."
Simpson can get yards as well, as he showed against Paw Paw when he went for a 180 yards on only 9 carries.
So when will he make his decision? "I want to make all my visits first," he said. "I'm really not sure at this point where I want to go, so I want to make sure I see each school, and check out what they have to offer. I want a good school with a good business administration program, and of course a good football program."
Broncoblitz will keep you informed as to Simpson's decision.
