After Wednesday's half scrimmage, it looked like the defense was setting into a comfort zone while the offense was struggling to find its way. Other than a short touchdown in redzone drills and a handful of positive gains, Mickey Andrews' defense dominated all aspects of the last scrimmage.

The tables turned on Saturday with the offense holding the upper hand posting nearly 500 total yards.

"The light came on a little bit today for the offense," head coach Bobby Bowden said. "It is flickering. It ain't real bright yet but it did come on a little bit. The kids are beginning to get a grasp of it... Offense got the better of it I thought, the first time. Last week I thought the defense got the better of it."
